Higher torque, lower consumption.
The six-cylinder diesel engines in the
BMW X6 xDrive 30d and xDrive 40d.
Both diesel engines in the BMW X6 xDrive30d and the BMW X6 xDrive40d use state-of-the-art common rail diesel technology for higher performance and singularly low consumption. The turbodiesel in the BMW X6 xDrive30d delivers 180 kW (245 hp) and 540 Nm of torque, yet consumes just 7.4 l/100 km (EU composite figure). Even more efficient is the BMW X6 xDrive40d with its TwinPower Turbo technology: here, two different-sized exhaust turbochargers work in sequence to deliver impressive power curves and high rpm. With 225 kW (306 hp) and 600 Nm of torque under the bonnet, the car sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds – yet consumes a mere 7.5 l/100 km (EU composite figure).
